Questions

Can I trust the summary?

It is written by AI from the PDF's text, and it is usually right, but it can miss or get something wrong. Each point says which page it comes from, so check anything important there.

Is my PDF sent to an AI company?

Only its text is sent, to Sarvam AI's model, which runs in India. The PDF and the summary are deleted from our servers after an hour, as with every tool.

Can it summarise a PDF in Hindi into English?

Yes. The PDF can be in any language, and the summary is written in the language you pick.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

A scan is a picture of the pages with no text in it. Make it searchable with OCR PDF first, then summarise that PDF.

How long can the PDF be?

Up to 100 pages of ordinary text. Split a longer one and summarise the parts.

Is Summarise PDF free?

It is included with our paid plans. A free account can try it a few times a month, and every paid plan includes more. Plans cost less than most.

What happens to my files?

Your uploads are deleted as soon as the job finishes. The file we make is deleted after an hour, or straight away if you press Delete now. We don't look at your files or keep copies.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in the browser on any computer, tablet or phone.

Can I use Summarise PDF from my own code?

Yes. Every tool is also an API endpoint. Send your files to POST /v1/summarize-pdf with an API key from your Account page, then download the result when the job is done.
