Questions

Will my text get blurry?

No. Only pictures and scans are made smaller. Text, links, bookmarks and form fields are kept as they are.

Is Compress PDF free?

Yes, with a free account. It works on our servers, so it needs one, and a free account can use it every month. Paid plans give you more and cost less than most.

What happens to my files?

Your uploads are deleted as soon as the job finishes. The file we make is deleted after an hour, or straight away if you press Delete now. We don't look at your files or keep copies.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in the browser on any computer, tablet or phone.

Can I use Compress PDF from my own code?

Yes. Every tool is also an API endpoint. Send your files to POST /v1/compress-pdf with an API key from your Account page, then download the result when the job is done.
