Questions
Is this a legally binding signature?
It is an electronic signature: a picture of your signature placed on the page, which many everyday agreements accept. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it can't prove on its own that the PDF hasn't changed since. Check what the person asking for it needs.
Do you keep my signature?
No. Your signature is made and placed in your browser, and neither it nor your PDF is uploaded.
Can I get other people to sign it?
Yes, on the paid plans. Send it for signature from your Account page: each person signs from a link we email them, with no account, and everyone gets the signed PDF with a page recording who signed, when and from where.
Is Sign PDF free?
Yes, and as often as you like. It works in your browser, so there is nothing to sign up for.
What happens to my files?
They stay on your device. The tool works in your browser, so your files are never uploaded.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in the browser on any computer, tablet or phone.
Can I use Sign PDF from my own code?
Not yet. It is worked by hand, page by page, so it is only on this site for now. The other tools are API endpoints too.
