Questions

Which files can I convert?

Word (DOCX, DOC), Excel (XLSX, XLS), PowerPoint (PPTX, PPT), OpenDocument (ODT, ODS, ODP) and RTF files, up to your plan's file size (20 MB on the free plan, more on paid plans). Files with a password to open them need the password removed first.

Will my document look the same?

Very nearly. Pages, sheets and slides come out as Office would print them. Common fonts such as Calibri, Arial and Times New Roman are matched letter for letter; a rare font is replaced with the closest one we have.

Do macros in my file run?

No. Macro-enabled files are converted, but their macros never run.

Is Office to PDF free?

It is included with our paid plans. A free account can try it a few times a month, and every paid plan includes more. Plans cost less than most.

What happens to my files?

Your uploads are deleted as soon as the job finishes. The file we make is deleted after an hour, or straight away if you press Delete now. We don't look at your files or keep copies.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in the browser on any computer, tablet or phone.

Can I use Office to PDF from my own code?

Yes. Every tool is also an API endpoint. Send your files to POST /v1/office-to-pdf with an API key from your Account page, then download the result when the job is done.
