Extract data from invoices and bank statements in PDF with AI

Stop typing figures in by hand. AI reads an invoice, bill or bank statement and fills in a spreadsheet: the seller, buyer, GSTIN, dates, every line, CGST, SGST and IGST and the totals, or every transaction with its date, debit, credit and balance.

Questions

How is this different from PDF to Excel?

PDF to Excel copies each table's layout as it is. Extract PDF data understands the document, so an invoice's number, dates, parties and totals land in named columns ready to add up or import, even when they aren't in a table.

Can I trust the figures?

AI copies them from the PDF's text and is usually right, but it can misread something. Each row says which page it is on, so check the totals against the PDF before you rely on them.

Is my PDF sent to an AI company?

Only its text is sent, to Sarvam AI's model, which runs in India. The PDF and the file made from it are deleted from our servers after an hour, as with every tool.

Can I use it from my own software?

Yes. With the JSON format you get the same fields every time, with numbers as numbers and dates as YYYY-MM-DD, so an accounting app can read it straight in through the API.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

A scan is a picture of the pages with no text in it. Make it searchable with OCR PDF first, then extract its data.

How long can the PDF be?

Up to 30 pages. Split a longer statement and extract each part.

Is Extract PDF data free?

It is included with our paid plans. A free account can try it a few times a month, and every paid plan includes more. Plans cost less than most.

What happens to my files?

Your uploads are deleted as soon as the job finishes. The file we make is deleted after an hour, or straight away if you press Delete now. We don't look at your files or keep copies.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in the browser on any computer, tablet or phone.

Can I use Extract PDF data from my own code?

Yes. Every tool is also an API endpoint. Send your files to POST /v1/extract-pdf-data with an API key from your Account page, then download the result when the job is done.
